Basic Frame:

The chassis is manufactured from mild steel to strict quality procedures ensuring it to be strong and durable.

Drive Engine:           

Twin Cylinder Lombardini Diesel Engine, which is air-cooled and key start in operation.  The engine is rated at 19,1Kw at 3000rpm. The unit is also fitted with a mechanical fuel lift pump, torque regulator and produces 67Nm of torque at 2000 and with a 10 Litre fuel capacity tank.

Drive System:          

The main drive comes from a single capstan operation providing power payin, the wire rope simply needs to be wrapped around the capstan 3 times to ensure that no slippage occurs and that all the tensions goes through the capstan rather than travelling onto the storage drum and potentially causing damage to the wire rope on the drum.

Relief Setting:          

The unit as standard is fitted with a relief valve system which allows you to manually set the maximum line pull that the cable is allowed to see, if the line pull reaches that tonnage then the hydraulics will stop applying pressure to the motors and the winch will stop pulling, thus protecting the integrity of the cable.

  • IMO – Datalog recorder                                                               

An electronic recorder with digital printout which combines a high level of technical specification with ease of operation. It is designed to stop winching operations if pre-selected pulling tension is achieved, thus preventing possible damage to the cable. The recorder is available on our TCW, FW & TW range of power cable pulling winches and provides a combination of pulling tension, meterage and time. There are also the option to download data via a Micro-SD Card, which then displays the data in a standard Microsoft Excel format.

  • Canopy                                             

Although our winches do not come with canopies as standard they are available for both the FW3000 and the TW5000 as optional extras, the model shown is the FW3000. The canopies can be available in different colours to match your corporate images and we are also able to sign write the canopies to provide you with free advertising while the unit is in transit. While the winch is in operation the canopy can be held in the up position by the catches as shown.
